We understand that every child has unique needs, experiences, and aspirations. That is why our approach is always child-centred and personalised, focusing on emotional wellbeing, education, and personal development. Our aim is to help children and young people build resilience, develop life skills, and gain the confidence to move forward positively in their lives.

Our teams consist of highly trained, compassionate professionals who act as role models, mentors, and consistent sources of support. We deliver therapeutic and trauma-informed care, encouraging children to make positive choices, maintain healthy routines, and prepare for independence at a pace that is right for them.

Our Services to Children

At Manilla Healthcare Services Residential Children’s Home, we are committed to delivering holistic, therapeutic, and child-centred services that promote healing, resilience, and long-term success. Our care is designed not only to meet immediate needs but also to prepare children and young people for a brighter, more independent future.

We provide tailored individual and group therapeutic sessions led by trained professionals, focusing on emotional wellbeing, trauma recovery, coping strategies, and the development of positive social skills.

Each placement begins with a comprehensive assessment that draws on input from the child or young person, their family, and professionals. This collaborative approach ensures we understand their strengths, challenges, and aspirations, enabling us to design a truly personalised care plan.

We work in close partnership with schools, virtual school teams, and educational professionals to create tailored learning plans. These are aligned with each child’s abilities, preferred learning style, and future ambitions, ensuring they are supported to achieve their full potential.

We deliver structured programmes to equip children and young people with essential life skills, including personal care, household management, budgeting, and meal preparation. These skills build independence and prepare them for adulthood and independent living.

We recognise the vital role families play in a child’s journey. We maintain transparent communication with families and carers, providing regular updates on progress, encouraging meaningful involvement, and supporting positive family relationships where appropriate.

Our Ethos

At Gannett House, we recognise every child and young person as a unique individual with their own strengths and aspirations. Through person-centred care and co-produced Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans, we set clear goals that promote growth, wellbeing, and development.

Our practice is built on a resilience-based approach, helping young people adapt to challenges, recover from adversity, and achieve lasting success.

We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and empowering environment where children and young people can heal, grow, and thrive, equipping them with the skills and confidence to reach their full potential.

Parents & Carers

Welcome to the Parents & Carers Hub at Manilla Healthcare Services Residential Children’s Homes, where family partnership is at the heart of everything we do. We know that the journey of care extends beyond the children and young people we support, it also includes the vital role played by parents, carers, and families.

This dedicated space is designed to keep you informed, involved, and supported. Here, you’ll find insights into your child or young person’s journey with us, useful resources to guide you, and opportunities for open collaboration with our team.

Our aim is to work alongside you as valued partners, ensuring that every child’s care is holistic, consistent, and enriching. By tailoring our approach, providing ongoing communication, and nurturing positive relationships, we ensure your family remains an active part of the care journey helping your child or young person grow, thrive, and reach their full potential.

Your Child’s Journey

We believe every child and young person is unique, with their own needs, strengths, and aspirations. We take a person-centred approach, ensuring each care plan is tailored to individual goals and supports meaningful, lasting progress.

We monitor and celebrate the milestones achieved during each child’s stay. Progress is recognised across key areas such as emotional wellbeing, education, and life skills development, giving a clear picture of growth and achievement.

We celebrate success at every stage. From personal achievements to inspiring milestones, we highlight progress and share stories that reflect the positive impact of our care. Feedback and testimonials from children, young people, and their families add a personal and authentic voice to these successes.

Partnership with families is central to our practice. We maintain open and transparent communication through regular updates, meetings, and secure communication channels, ensuring families remain involved, informed, and confident in the care provided.

When the time comes to move on, we provide comprehensive transition planning. This includes consultations with families, clear goal-setting, and practical preparation to support a smooth return home or a positive transition into independent living.

Our commitment does not end when a placement finishes. We provide ongoing support and guidance for families, helping to maintain progress and ensure children and young people continue to flourish beyond their time with us.
